A 7.0 N U The Standard Occupation Classification code used for higher education reporting (IPEDs, ADHE, CUPA, etc.). In most situations it relates directly to the University's OCC-CD. In other cases the value will remain blank on the Occupation table meaning the value must be defined by Position. These exception conditions are defined on the Position-SOC-Exception file.

A 60.0 N   A long description of a Standard Occupation Classfication code. This value is used primarily in batch reporting.

A 2.0 N   A category associated with a Standard Occupation Classification. This value is used to group and order SOC Codes for reporting as needed by the University.

A 1.0 N   A code used to identify the Standard Occupation Classifications which are allowed to be associated with a Graduate Assistant (GA). Possible values are:
Y =Allowed for GAs or
N =Not allowed for GAs (stored on the data base as blank).
