Contact List webBASIS Basics |
Services available on the web for employees include this facility which allows an employee to review and maintain their personal address and contact information for both home and the work place.
This is also the screen where you may maintain your privacy code and your preferences for where and how your Earnings Statements are delivered or made available via the web.
Because you "logged on" in order to get to these services, we already know who you are, so when you click on the link "Addresses, etc..." we looked up your current information and it is presented for you to review and check for accuracy.
If you have moved, changed positions at the University , or discover an error in your records, you may change or correct the record here.
For the basics on how to get around our site successfully, see our navigation help for more information.
While every effort is made to perform any and all practical validations to try to insure that no incorrect information is entered into our system, the only way to be 100% successful is for the employee to review their information for accuracy.
However, part of the process of updating or changing information on your records, does include validations on several of the fields where it makes good sense.
The "Address as of"
... field is asking you to enter the date on which the system should recognize
the particular address (associated with the date). As such, some dates would not make good sense,
and we will not allow you to enter them to the system. Specific examples include:
|
The "Street/Apartment"
...field will not be allowed to be stored blank. In addition, certain edits are carried out to
detect whether or not you entered the field in ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS or all lower case letters.
If so, you will be ask to re-enter the field in Mixed Case.
The "City"
...field will not be allowed to be stored blank. In addition, certain edits are carried out to
detect whether or not you entered the field in ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS or all lower case letters.
If so, you will be ask to re-enter the field in Mixed Case.
The "State Code"
...field will not be allowed to be stored blank. In addition, the state code you enter will be
checked against an existing table of legitimate state codes to insure it is valid.
The "Zip Code"
...field may be entered as either the 5-character zip code or the expanded, 10 character zip code.
When you enter the zip code, the value you enter is examined to make sure it is in one of these two
formats - see the examples that follow. This field is sometimes referred to as the Postal Code.
|
The "Phone Number"
...field is edited to insure format only, basically. That is, we will allow you to enter your
phone number without any formatting, and we will insert the formatting characters used by our
system. If you fail to enter all the digits of your phone number, we will give you an error message
and ask you to re-enter your phone number in our format 479/575-2000, but again, we will format the
number for you if you enter all required digits.
Note that as such, we cannot check to see if the number you entered is actually your correct phone number.
The "Privacy Code"
...field, which is used to indicate employee preferences for publishing their home-based contact
information in the Campus Directory may be modified here.
In this instance, leaving the field blank IS acceptable and INDICATES that you impose NO RESTRICTIONS on what parts of your home-based contact information you want made available through the Campus Directory.
Other valid choices are:
|
The Campus "Building Code"
...field of your Campus Address is an optional field. If entered, we are able to look up valid
building codes on an existing table to insure the validity of the value entered. If the value
entered is not found to be valid, an error message is returned and you are ask to click the
"Building Code" field for help finding the valid building code
for the building in which
you work.
The "Room Number"
...field is another optional field. In this instance, there is no way to validate the legitimacy
of what you have entered, and the value is simply stored with your other Campus Address information.
The Campus "Phone Number"
...field is validated in the same way as your home phone number is validated.
The "Check and Earnings Statement Options"
...section contains 4 fields which you may have occasion to modify.
The "Override Appointed Check/ES Dist BU code"
...field represents an indicator to override the Budgetary Unit or the department to which your
physical check and / or Earnings Statement would automatically be sent. This indicator is for
employees in "appointed" positions.
The "Hourly Check/ES Distribution BU code"
The budgetary unit to which an hourly employee's check is to be distributed.
This value is established for all employees when first added to the system via PSB's SUNE.
The "Earnings Statement Distribution option"
...field allows you to indicate how you would like to receive your Earnings, Deductions, and Benefits
Statement. In this case, blank is an accepted value; other valid choices are listed below.

...field
