A budgetary unit is an organizational entity that either receives a budget or has staff. It exists between the company-cost center and the department levels. All cost centers are associated with a budgetary unit, all budgetary units are associated with a department.
	1	BUDGETARY-UNIT-CD DB=CA CS=UA HD=BUDETARY/UNIT/CODE	A	4.0	N	U	An alphabetic Code used to identify a UAF Budgetary Unit. A budgetary unit is an organizational entity or level that exist between a Company Cost Center and a Department. It normally has a budget or has employees associated with it. Since these codes are often changed to correspond with name changes of the associated entities, budgetary units are actually identified by a number with translations to and from the code for display. Abbreviated as BU.

This will determine if someone else has altered the record.
